Join the Pueblo City-County Library District Children and Teen Services staff for a unique training opportunity this Fall! This training will engage, thrill, and inspire you with new experiences to take back to your libraries – to reinvigorate your programming. Libraries are all about sharing, right? So there will be a chance for everyone to share their exciting and innovative ideas.

8-12 am – Workshop with the Buell Children’s Museum from the Sangre De Cristo Arts Center- experiential programming. The staff at the children’s museum develop wonderful experiential programming year round and they are coming to share their favorite methods, resources, and secrets!
12-1:30 pm – Lunch about town Pueblo has awesome food! We will provide list of some of Pueblo’s best restaurants nearby so you may make your choices.
1:30-4 – Lightning Talks. Lighting talks are a rapid presentation style where you can share many aspects of a topic in a quick and structured format. The guidelines for this year are:
5 minute presentation
No more than 15 slides per presentation
No more than 20 seconds per slide.
Participants should send their slideshow and any companion handouts to firstname.lastname@example.org by August 18. I will compile the presentations into a slideshow and create a digital archive of all handouts and slideshows that will be accessible by each participant. No need to bring lots of copies! We have time for 25 Lightning Talks (if every sticks to the timeframe)…so please note your intent when you RSVP.
